That’s why we’re excited to announce our new community give-back grant: the 2025 New England Playground Grant! This grant is provided by UltiPlay Parks & Playgrounds as a way to give back to the amazing communities we serve across New England.
This grant will award one deserving community in New England significant savings on equipment and installation costs. Applications for the grant are due June 15, 2025. We will make this grant award based on community engagement, need, and readiness.
What Does the New England Playground Grant Recipient Receive?
- 25% off Playworld’s Playful Pass structure (a savings of $22,500)
- Free installation through a community build (a savings of $5,000)
- Free site visit, 3D design rendering, and community build promotion support
- Discounted engineered wood fiber safety surfacing and borders
Who Is Eligible to Apply for the New England Playground Grant?
UltiPlay believes in connecting all communities through recreation, which is why we’ve made the New England Playground Grant open to all types of community organizations and entities – schools, municipalities, park and recreation departments, child care centers, nonprofits, HOAs, and places of worship are all welcome to apply. Your community must be physically located in New England (Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine).
What’s a Community Build?
A community build is a way of installing a playground using the volunteer power of a community. It gives you and your community the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and build something meaningful together.
Community builds are led by our professional installation crew who guide volunteers step-by-step to build the playground together. The New England Playground Grant recipient will receive free playground installation leadership from UltiPlay, and we’re counting on you to help rally your community to help!
We helped the community of Rockport, Maine with a community build project last summer.
How to Apply for the New England Playground Grant
Grant applications are due by June 15, 2025. UltiPlay will select one winner by June 30, 2025.
UltiPlay is offering one pre-designed playground structure for the New England Playground grant, the Playful Pass. Valued at $90,000, UltiPlay is providing a 25% discount on the cost of the structure for the grant recipient. The grant recipient must agree to purchase the Playful Pass, and pay for freight costs, discounted safety surfacing, concrete and playground borders.
The total estimated cost obligation for the grant recipient is $75,000. With a full project value of $100,000, this grant is an opportunity for your community to save $25,000 on a brand new playground!
✅ Submit an application: Complete the grant application form with information about your community and proposed playground location.
✅ Grant recipient purchases the pre-designed playground: Next, if selected, your community agrees to purchase the Playful Pass structure and additional equipment (borders, safety surfacing, concrete), approximately $75,000 total. UltiPlay will provide complimentary 3D renderings, complete project coordination, conduct a site visit, and provide marketing support to promote the community build.
✅ We provide free installation: We’ll lock in an installation date for September or October 2025. Our team will lead the community build, guiding volunteers every step of the way. Your community will need around 10 volunteers to help install the playground.
About the Playful Pass
The pre-designed structure for this community build grant is the Playful Pass by Playworld. This playground is designed for children ages 5-12. It requires a footing area of 47 x 38 feet. UltiPlay will also provide discounted engineered wood fiber playground surfacing and borders required for the installation.
Important Details
- Playground must be installed as designed. Alternative color options are available.
- Your site must be big enough to accommodate the playground footing area (47 x 38 feet).
- Limited to New England communities (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont).
- Community build must take place in September or October 2025.
